John Barleycorn recaptures many of the band’s arrangements performed live over the years, but never recorded or released. It also features a few new workings, not least ‘Lament’ which brings together two magnificent Scottish tunes - Hector the Hero by James Scott Skinner, and The Battle of the Somme by William Laurie - into a deeply moving soundscape.
